The restaurant menu, naturally Tuscan-inspired, includes a series of traditional appetizers, first courses of fresh pasta, soups ... Among the second courses of meat the place of honor is the beef fillet with porcini mushrooms with truffle, followed by veal cheek and Florentine tripe ... but the selection from the grill is also rich.
Do not miss the fish with the typical recipes: creamed cod and chickpeas, and then the tomato shadow.
And the side dishes include roast potatoes, cannellini beans with extra virgin olive oil and black pepper, Florentine spinach, as well as seasonal vegetable pies. For those who dare not venture on the sweet terrain, between homemade apple pie served hot with cream ice cream, Prato cantucci with Vin Santo, tiramisu and coffee burnt cream ... there is the "friendship dessert", from share at the table: Giotto of Florentine cream ice cream with Montecatini pods assembled at the moment to keep the fragrance of the pods intact. A "whim" to be broken with the hands served on the table on a special support made of white Carrara marble.
The wine list that opens the red of Tuscany parade with a beautiful selection of Chianti Classico is rich,
Brunello di Montalcino and Rosso di Montepulciano, Bolgheri and Rossi IGT, Morellino di Scansano, Carmignano and the Super Tuscans for the most demanding. Then Rosati and Bianchi IGT, Tuscan "Bollicine" and of course sweet wines, Vinsanto, Aleatico, Malvasia. The whole selection is also for sale on the upper floor.
