WINGS TO TALENT 2018 WINNER

Gaetano Castiglia was born on June 21, 2005 in Palermo. He completed his studies at the State Conservatory of Music in Palermo where in 2019 he graduated in
Classical Trumpet (V. O.) with a 10/10 rating. He studied Jazz Trumpet at the "Brass Group Foundation of Palermo" and attended the trumpet master course with Maestro Claudio Quintavalla at the Music School of Fiesole. He holds Master Class with renowned teachers such as: Roberto Rossi, Andrea Tofanelli, Andrea Dell’Ira, Rex Richardson, Pacho Flores, Allen Vizzutti, Ruben Simeo, Omar Tomasoni, Emanuele Antoniucci, Massimo La Rosa. It is a member of the "Mediterranean Trumpet Quartet", the "Sicilian Philarmonic Brass" and the "Brass Youth Jazz Orchestral. He played solo: the Balarm Sax Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Conservatory of Palermo; the World BrassOrchestral, the Universal Brass Ensemble, the Carabinieri Fanfare XII Battalion Sicily, the Florulli Orchestra and the "Gioca Jazz Orchestra of Rome". He performed in Palermo at: the Verdura Theater, the Massimo Theater, the Savio Theater, the Zisa Cultural Shipyards, the Real Teatro Santa Cecilia, the Spasimo Jazz club; in Florence at the Arengario in Piazza dellaSignoria, the Ponte Vecchio, the Basilica Santa Maria Novella, the birthplace of Leonardo da Vinci, the Abbey of San Miniato al Monte; in Rome at the Auditorium and the Cavea of the Parcodella Musica. He held solo concerts with the formation: "Gaetano Castiglia JazzQuartet", at the Auditorium of the Liceo di Lercara Friddi, the Jazz Club dello Spasimo in Palermo, the Villa Comunale of Termini Imerese, the Real Teatro Santa Cecilia of Palermo and the Theater of Paglia di Bivona. He played in solidarity concerts, for the Circondariale Houses of Messina, Caltagirone and Palermo. He has participated in several television programs, including "ITALIA'S GO TALENT" (SKY) and "TGS STADIO". He played live on "Radio Time" and Radio Panorama ". His artistic experience was enriched by the collaboration with some of the most important musicians on the world music scene such as: Allen Vizzutti, Andrea Tofanelli, Michael Supnick, Stan Adams, Pacho Flores, Rex Richardson, Jamie Williams, Omar Tomasoni, Ruben Simeo, Luca Benucci , Dale Clevenger, Giovanni Hoffer, Zoltan Kiss, Daniel Perantoni, Arkady Shilkloper, Roger Bobo, Eric Terwilliger. He has won several awards both in the exchange of classical and jazz music: Benedetto Albanese Competition (Caccamo - 2016), Giardini Naxos Award (Taormina - 2016), “Lercaresi nel Mondo MWF Award (Lercara Friddi - 2016), MaraElsa Award ( Cefalù - 2017), Parco Jazz Award (Altofonte - 2017), Marco Tamburini Award (Castelbuono Jazz - 2017), Special Jury Award "Crescendo" (Politeama Theater - Palermo - 2018), Special Jury Award "Wings ToTalent" (IBW - Florence - 2018), Sicilian Harmonies Award (Bivona - 2019), "Nights Clandestine" Award (Termini Imerese - 2019), he was taking lessons and playing as solosis at the Italian Brass Week in the year 2017, 2018, 2019.

WiNGS TO TALENT 2019 WINNER

Graduated with honors at the "A. Corelli" conservatory in Messina in 2015, he collaborated with the wind and symphony orchestra of the same name, covering the role of 4th horn under the direction of Maestro Lorenzo Della Fonte, and he still collaborates actively with the Messina Brass Band.
He participated in the music competition in Barcelona P.G (ME) in 2011, finishing in 1st place.
He collaborated with the Fe.Ba.Si. covering the role of III horn in the 2012/2013 concert season under the direction of Maestro Alfio Zito, Maestro Salvatore Tralongo, Maestro David Gregory and Maestro James Standland.
He has collaborated with the Sicilian Symphony Orchestra and with the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino orchestra with the role of horn in a row.
He improved by attending courses and masterclasses with Maestro Piero Mangano, Maestro Danilo Stagni, Maestro Natalino Ricciardi, Maestro Roberto Miele, Maestro Ettore Bongiovanni and is currently attending a masterclass with Maestro Luca Benucci.
In 2016 he was qualified in Palermo at the Sicilian Youth Orchestra as II horn.
In 2017 he was eligible at the Sicilian Symphonic Orchestra and the orchestra of the Massimo V. Bellini Theater in Catania.
In 2018 he won the 3rd prize in the "Horn" section of the international AudiMozart competition in Rovereto (TN).
In 2019 he won the audio horn for fourth horn at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino.
In 2019 he won the audition for horn in a row at the Carlo Felice Theater in Genoa.
in 2019 it won the WINGS TO TALENT International Award, Italian Brass Week.

WINGS TO TALENT 2017 WINNER

Manuela is 14 years old and started playing the horn at 6 years old with Maestro Massimiliano Picca and the Juniorchestra of the Accademia di Santa Cecilia in Rome. Since 2016 he has lived in France in Lyon where he studied at the Conservatoire Régional with the master Jean-Philippe Cochenet. Since 2015 she has won various competitions every year in Italy and France that have allowed her to play accompanied by orchestras such as the Lviv Philharmonic Orchestra and the chamber musicians of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino. In 2017 he won the "Wings to Talents" award of the Italian Brass Week. She enjoys reading, swimming and loves chocolate ice cream.

Victor Alvarez Alegrìa

WINGS TO TALENT 2019 WINNER

Víctor Álvarez Alegría was born in Santander and began his trombone studies at the age of 9 with Francisco Nájera Perona at the Jesús de Monasterio Conservatory, which he has continued with his son Francisco Nájera Ferrer until this past year.

He has played with numerous youth groups and orchestras in Spain such as the JOAC (Young Autonomous Orchestra of Cantabria), the JOSVA (Young Symphony Orchestra of Valladolid), the OJAA (Young Orchestra Ataulfo Argenta), the OJPA (Young Orchestra Alicante Province) , the band from Laredo and in Holland with groups like the VU Orkest, Amsterdam Symphony Project Youth Orchestra, among others.

He has participated in numerous projects and events such as the premiere of Pedro Terán's Silence and Excuses Opera, he participates in the young talents project WOM, among others.

He won the Italian Brass Week "WINGS TO TALENT" international prize in the 2019.
