The Masterclasses

The masterclasses will take place at the Opera di Firenze - Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, institutional partner of the festival. Our goal is to promote cultural exchange between young Italians and foreigners, and to give the new generations the opportunity to be part of a prestigious festival for the world of brass and music.
The Italian Brass Week for 24 years has been promoting young people through teaching, training, cooperation, guiding them in the choices for their musical future; conscious choices, based on the acquisition of extraordinary musical and personal skills and abilities.

Individual lessons are flanked by collective ones, with the formation of brass ensembles that allow the sharing and exchange of knowledge learned, consolidating them and making them their own in each individual portfolio. The Italian Brass Week wants to affirm a study model that works in a targeted and optimal manner, guaranteeing young students the best training and the best transmission of those knowledge that, one day, they will be able to pass on and enhance.

Hornists, trumpet players, trombonists and tubists from 35 countries and 5 different continents will make this new edition of the festival unique and special.
