Stornelli in Jazz from the Roof of the Medici Hotel Thursday 31 December 2020, at 3.00 pm, the soloists of the Italian Brass Week international festival will be involved in the event of the first Winter Edition entitled "Stornelli in Jazz". This performance combines two musical genres dear to the Florentines and beyond: the Florentine folk songs and the Jazz. Florence dreams, Florentine morning, Bring her a kiss to Florence, Il trescone, La Marianna, I'm alone some of the masterpieces of our capital which, combined with the rhythms of Jazz, will become an expression of freedom and poetic improvisation. Since the Renaissance, stornelli and arias have given us moments of beauty and lightheartedness; rumors of different instruments come together to evoke these heartfelt artistic atmospheres, which awaken us Fiorentini that sense of recognition and belonging not only Tuscan but international. From the Florentine Roofs, precisely from the Roof of the Medici Hotel, we will greet 2020 together with the world whole, giving all listeners our musical traditions revisited by two great jazz players Tuscans, of international standing: Andrea Tofanelli, on trumpet, and Nico Gori, on clarinet and sax, ai which will be joined by the artistic director of the Festival, first horn of the Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Luca Benucci and the Italian Brass Week House Band, made up of Piero Frassi at the piano, Matteo Anelli on double bass and Vladimiro Carboni on drums. In this way, a brilliant soundtrack will be created that will mark the perfect union of history and future, the perfect one synthesis of the musical architecture of New Year's Day, which from Florence will reach the world whole. The opening of the Winter Edition of the Italian Brass Week International Festival is sponsored by Municipality of Florence and included in the broader calendar of events of the Florentine Winter.
